Types of short films I get excited about and am likely to program if given the chance:

• Work that is “industryphobic” and “jobless” (made by an artist, goals are geared toward self expression, making something interesting for the sake of creation)

• Films that are challenging, formally adventurous, purely experimental, while also being fun to watch and appealing in some way.

• Films by under-represented people (especially POC women & members of LGBTQIA+ community) that are experimental, unmarketable and hard to define.

• Films that are visually dynamic, colorful, charming

• Films that are funny without trying too hard (Lower-case “c” comedy)

Also: I love to be shocked and surprised.
